Translate

Monday, 20 September 2010

West Texas inmate who admited to orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot against a Texas judge has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.

Jeffrey Dwayne Harrison, 49, pleaded guilty back in June to his role in trying to have judge Stephen Ellis killed.
The district judge from Brown County was handling Harrison's drug case at the time. Prosecutors say while Harrison was jailed awaiting trial on those charges he contracted someone he thought was an Aryan prison gang member to kill Ellis. It turns out the purported assassin was really an undercover agent.
